Gardening club is run every Thursday lunch time by Kim Charlwood, one of our governors, and other volunteer helpers. It is open to years 4, 5 and 6 and the club usally runs from early spring until late autumn.
Over the years the children who attend Gardening club have enjoyed taking part in various planting activities. They plant bulbs, flowers and vegetables. Last year the children successfully harvested spring onions, marrows, courgettes, tomatoes, potatoes, runner beans and soft fruit. We also take part in the 'Bexley in Bloom' competiton and frequently win awards - our home-made compost is unique and can be detected from as far afield as Canvey Island and Bognor when the wind is in the right direction.
