The Governing Body
Governors are like a Board of Directors and make decisions about how the school is run. They meet at every term as a whole body and meet in Committees at other times during the term.
Governors are appointed to help with:
- The premises as well as health and safety issues
- The interviewing and selection of staff
- School budget decisions
- The curriculum
Governors are:
- Parents
- Staff in both a teaching and non-teaching role within the school
- Local council representatives
- Church community representatives, businessmen and women
Parent Governors:
- have a child in school
- are elected by parents at the school
- serve, as do other Governors, for four years
Our school governors are:
Mr I Miller (Chair), Mr M Allen, Miss L Ashcroft, Cllr N Betts, Mr G Bisson, Mr S Caddock, Mrs K Charlwood, Mrs J Farrelly, Mr S Hall, Rev T Hatwell, Mr J Hockey, Mrs F Kelly, MR M Monksfield, Mrs J Murphy and Mrs E Taylor.
